1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Pinch of cumin

Instructions
- Combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, garlic, salt, pepper, onion powder, and cumin in a large bowl.
- Gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix the meat.
- Shape the mixture into patties about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick and press a small indentation into the center of each patty.
- Place the patties in the freezer for 20 to 40 minutes to help them firm up before grilling.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and clean the grates thoroughly.
- Lightly oil both sides of the patties to prevent sticking.
- Grill the patties for 5 to 6 minutes on the first side.
- Flip the burgers, add cheese slices, and continue grilling for another 5 to 6 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Toast the brioche buns until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, turkey patties, onion, avocado, and mayonnaise or aioli.
- Serve immediately while hot and juicy.
Notes
Use 93/7 ground turkey for the juiciest texture without excess fat.
Chilling the patties helps them hold their shape on the grill.
Add chopped jalapeños for extra heat.
Swap BBQ sauce with buffalo sauce or teriyaki glaze for different flavor variations.
Lettuce wraps can replace buns for a lower-carb option.
Store leftover patties in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Freeze cooked or uncooked patties for up to 2 months.
