Description
This non-alcoholic Watermelon Frose is a refreshing frozen drink made with sparkling rosé grape juice, frozen watermelon, peach nectar, and fresh lime for a fruity slushy that’s perfect for summer. It comes together in minutes and is ideal for entertaining or cooling off on warm days.
Ingredients
1/2 bottle sparkling rosé grape juice (1/2 of a 750 mL bottle)
4 cups frozen watermelon cubes (frozen for at least 3 hours)
1/4 cup peach nectar
Juice of 1/2 lime
Additional sparkling rosé grape juice as needed for consistency
Extra frozen watermelon or a couple of ice cubes for a thicker texture (optional)
Fresh lime slices for garnish
Instructions
- Add the sparkling rosé grape juice, frozen watermelon cubes, peach nectar, and fresh lime juice to a high-powered blender.
- Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and slushy.
- If the mixture is too thick, add a little more sparkling rosé grape juice and blend again.
- For a thicker consistency, blend in extra frozen watermelon or a couple of ice cubes.
- Pour into serving glasses or transfer to a freezer-safe container for later use.
- Garnish with fresh lime slices and serve immediately.
Notes
Add frozen strawberries for a berry variation.
Use sparkling white grape juice or regular white grape juice instead of sparkling rosé grape juice if desired.
Blend in fresh mint leaves for added freshness.
Add honey or simple syrup if the watermelon needs extra sweetness.
Include frozen peaches for enhanced fruit flavor.
Double all ingredients for larger gatherings.
Store leftovers in a freezer-safe container for several weeks and let soften for about 30 minutes before serving.
Reblend briefly if needed to restore a smooth slushy consistency.
